A-200 Lice Control 

Generic Name:Piperonyl butoxide and pyrethrins topical

Piperonyl butoxide is a substance that prevents the breakdown of pyrethrins and pesticides. Piperonyl butoxide and pyrethrin ointment (applied to the skin) is a combination medicine used to treat head lice. Piperonyl butoxide and pyrethrin topicals may also be used for purposes not listed in the Medication Guide.

A-200 Bit Control used for

BitYou should not use piperonyl butoxide  if you are allergic to it, or pyrethrins if you are allergic to chrysanthemums or ragweed. FDA Pregnancy Category C. It is not known whether this drug will harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant while using this medicine. It is not known whether this drug passes into breast milk or if it could harm a nursing baby. Let your doctor know if you are breast-feeding a baby.

Side effects of A-200 Lice Control

Get emergency medical help if you develop any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction:

Hives, I can not breathe, swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat.  If severe pain, burning, itching, swelling or irritation occurs at the application site, stop using piperonyl butoxide and pyrethrin and consult your doctor immediately. The most common side effects include:

itching, burning, or stinging, a minor rash, or numbness or tingling. This is not a complete list of possible side effects and other side effects. Contact your doctor for advice on side effects. You can report side effects to FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

FDA Pregnancy Category C. It is not known whether this drug will harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant while using this medicine. It is not known whether this drug passes into breast milk or if it could harm a nursing baby. Let your doctor know if you are breast-feeding a baby.

When taking A-200 Lice Control (cream)

Do not apply any other medicines or skin products to the area where you used piperonyl butoxide and pyrethrin cream unless your doctor tells you to. Do not get this medicine in your eyes, nose, mouth, or genitals. In such a case, rinse with water. Do not use piperonyl butoxide and pyrethrins topically on hot, hot, dry, cracked, swollen, or broken skin. Do not come into contact with others until the infection is resolved. Also, do not share your hair, hair accessories, hats, clothes, sheets, pillows, and other  personal items.

Get A-200 Bit Control (external use)

Use A-200 Lice Control (Special) exactly as directed on the label or as directed by your doctor. Do not use too much, too little, or for longer than recommended. Follow all instructions in the prescription. Do not use this medication more, less, or for longer than recommended. Lice infestations are very contagious. Everyone in the family needs to be treated for lice. Snakes can spread from one person to another by sharing toothbrushes, combs, hats or hairpins. It can also spread through head-to-head contact. Apply shampoo for dry hair. Please shake well before use. Apply to all areas of the scalp, including under the ears and neck. Care for your hair from root to tip, leave the shampoo on for a maximum of 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with warm water. The shampoo should be used every 7 to 10 days to kill new lice.  Close your eyes tightly when using this solution on your hair. You can use a washcloth or washcloth to protect your eyes when you apply the medicine to your head. Do not use on eyebrows and eyelashes. If these areas become infected, contact your doctor. You will need to use a special comb to remove the eggs (lice) from the hair roots. Some lice removal products come with a lice comb. If you don’t have this comb, ask your pharmacist where you can buy it. Using an ordinary toothbrush will not be effective in removing lice. Use this medicine full time. Your symptoms may improve until the infection clears. Call your doctor if your condition worsens or your symptoms worsen while using this medication.  To prevent lice infection, wash all clothing, hats, linens, pets, brushes and combs in hot water and your hands to remove any mites or eggs. You may need to use special disinfectants to clean furniture, bedding, sports helmets, headphones, and other items that cannot be cleaned. Ask your doctor or pharmacist about antibiotics in your home.  Store the medicine at room temperature, away from moisture and heat.
